I specialize in developing movement harmony by focusing on stride mechanics and body positioning. Speed and skill cannot develop well or sustainably from an unbalanced system. By eye, by video, and by performance metrics, I will help craft your stride so it can carry you properly, quickly, and for many years to come.
The warm up is an essential part of training. It literally warms you up and prepares the muscular, skeletal, cardiovascular, and metabolic systems for work. I feel that a warm up is perhaps the most under-appreciated component of good training, and I'll help you understand why.
The building blocks of form and speed! Drills involve repetition. Good repetition helps develop good habits. Good habits develop good routines. Good routines produce results.
Agility, speed, acceleration, deceleration, balance, power, rating, coordination. This is where we craft workloads, modes, and volume of work specific to your sport and goals. Prepare to challenge your engine and your mind.
Your body isn't a car. You can't simply push your limits, then immediately shut down without potential harm. Cool downs gently bring your body back to homeostasis (balance!). Rushing a cool down is simply asking for trouble. Patience and persistence are critical for balanced workouts.
What did we do today and WHY? Here we break it all down! Understanding your training session and future sessions is essential to development as a well-regimented athlete. I also stress and demonstrate the importance of recovery strategies: stretching, re-hydration, improving range of motion, pre/re-habing, etc.
Your feedback is also essential! Training is a dynamic process involving US. What did you like? What would you change? Something you'd like to try? Let's discuss.
